F2 Chemicals Ltd developed a much improved route to aromatic sulfurpentafluorides in 1995. Since then the company has provided these fascinating materials to many industries. F2 Chemicals Ltd is part of the FLUORINE21 Initial Training Network (ITN) project which is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie action which has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration. A paper originating from this study has described the synthesis and reactivity of an unusual compound in collaboration with the Beier group at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Prague, Czech Republic
