HFP Trimer
Hexafluoropropene trimer (HFP trimer) is an unsaturated perfluorocarbon - a highly branched perfluoroalkene manufactured by F2 Chemicals Ltd under the Fluorotherm T tradename. Its proper name (for the major isomer) is perfluoro-3-iso-propyl-2-methylpent-2-ene.
It has seen much interest as a heat transfer agent, as it offers similar properties to perfluorocarbons, but with neglible GWP (<150), as a replacement for certain 3M fluids.
