HFP Dimer
Hexafluoropropene dimer (HFP dimer) is an unsaturated perfluorocarbon - a highly branched perfluoroalkene. Its proper name (for the major isomer) is (E)-1,1,1,2,3,4,5,5,5-Nonafluoro-4-(trifluoromethyl)pent-2-ene.
It has seen much interest as a heat transfer agent, as it offers similar properties to perfluorocarbons, but with neglible GWP (<150).
